Contactless vending, tap and gone

Contactless vending is the most-deployed touch-free format and the easiest one to retrofit to existing machines. A contactless reader handles tap-to-pay cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay, with transactions clearing in under two seconds end-to-end. For most workplaces, this is the format that delivers the biggest user-experience upgrade for the lowest install cost.

Reliability is a non-issue at this point. The technology is mature, the failure modes are well-understood, and remote monitoring catches most issues before users notice. PCI DSS Level 1 compliance is included, transaction reporting is real-time, and reconciliation against inventory is automated.

We can retrofit contactless to most modern vending machines without replacing the unit, which dramatically lowers the cost of moving to touch-free. We assess existing kit during the survey and recommend retrofit versus replacement honestly. If your machine takes a retrofit, we'll say so. If it doesn't, we'll explain why.
