The Crane Cali is the workhorse floor-standing coffee machine in the Crane Convenience lineup (the rebranded vending arm of Crane Payment Innovations, formerly Crane Merchandising Systems). It runs Crane's established coffee platform with a focus on durability, ease of operation, and consistent cup quality across the working day. The styling is intentionally restrained: a clean fascia with backlit touch buttons and a colour video display, rather than the full-screen interface of newer machines, which suits sites that want a recognisable beverage interface without a learning curve.

Drink range covers the office and public-site essentials. Bean-to-cup espresso forms the base, with standard coffee, decaf, americano, cappuccino, caffe latte, mocha, and hot chocolate from there. Fresh-leaf tea is the genuinely interesting add: rather than a tea bag in a cup, the Cali brews loose-leaf or pyramid tea through a dedicated path, which is a step up from machines that treat tea as an afterthought. Hot water for personal tea bags is also available. Pour speed sits under 40 seconds from selection to dispense, which keeps queues moving at peak.

Physical footprint is 1830mm tall by 700mm wide by 790mm deep, weighing 193kg, sized for floor-standing placement against a wall in a coffee point or break-out area. Power is standard 230V at 13A, plumbed water connection required. We recommend the Cali for sites where the volume justifies a dedicated coffee station but a 21-inch touchscreen would feel like over-engineering, and where having proper fresh-leaf tea on the menu is a meaningful win for the user mix.

Answers to what we're most often asked when scoping a rollout.

Both are 1830mm floor-standing Crane machines from the same family. The Cali uses backlit touch buttons with a colour video display, suiting sites that want a familiar beverage interface and proper fresh-leaf tea. The Coti steps up to a 21-inch touchscreen and is positioned for higher-volume sites with up to 800 cups per refill cycle. Pick the Cali for medium-to-high demand with strong tea demand; pick the Coti for high-volume sites where the touchscreen earns its keep.

The Cali has a separate brewing path for tea that holds loose-leaf or pyramid tea bags and brews properly with hot water at the right temperature, rather than dispensing hot water into a pre-bagged cup. The result is a proper cup of tea rather than a stewed or under-extracted bag drink. For UK sites where tea matters, this is a real upgrade over machines that just give you a hot water tap.

The Cali is sized for medium-to-high demand sites, typically 80 to 150 staff in an office context, or comparable footfall in hotels and public facilities. Sub-40-second pour times and dedicated tea brewing keep peak queues moving. Sites with daily counts above around 200 cups, or with concentrated peak demand, are usually better served by the Coti or by stepping into the Vitro X5 territory.

Yes. The Cali is widely deployed in unattended environments including hotel front-of-house, public reception areas, and transport hubs. We can spec MDB-compatible cashless and contactless payment, and the touch-button interface is designed to be intuitive for first-time users. Hopper locking and access control are available for sites that need them.

The Cali is designed for minimal day-to-day maintenance: drip tray and dispense area need a daily wipe-down, milk and chocolate canisters need refilling on a usage-driven cycle, and we cover quarterly preventative service including descale, grinder calibration, and replacement of wear parts. Crane's UK parts ecosystem means lead times on consumables and replacement parts are short.

Different positioning. The Franke A Line A600 is a premium modular bench machine with iQFlow extraction and FoamMaster, designed for hotel lounges and premium offices where the cup quality bar is highest. The Coffetek Vitro X4 is a free-standing tower with optional WiFi media screen and tea variant. The Cali sits between them: a durable floor-standing machine with proper fresh-leaf tea and a familiar interface, at a more accessible price point than the Franke.
