The Crane Cali 2 is the new generation of the workhorse floor-standing coffee machine in the Crane Convenience range, launched in the UK in August 2026. It keeps the platform the original Cali was known for, with the same footprint, brewers and ingredient capacities, and adds a redesigned front with easier cleaning, faster refilling and better access for servicing. The interface is intentionally restrained: direct-selection buttons with a 5-inch HD colour display, rather than a full touchscreen, which suits sites that want a familiar drinks menu with no learning curve.
Drink range covers the office and public-site essentials. Bean-to-cup espresso forms the base, with coffee, decaf, americano, cappuccino, caffe latte, mocha and hot chocolate from there. Fresh-leaf tea is the genuinely interesting part: rather than a tea bag in a cup, the Cali 2 brews leaf tea through Crane's dedicated Oltre tea brewer, which is a step up from machines that treat tea as an afterthought. A bean-to-cup drink takes about 39 seconds, which keeps queues moving at peak. The machine stores and drops its own cups in three sizes, holding up to 630 at 7oz, 570 at 9oz or 420 at 12oz.
Physical footprint is 1830mm tall by 700mm wide by 795mm deep, weighing around 200kg, sized for floor-standing placement against a wall in a coffee point or break-out area. Power is a standard 13-amp 230V supply, with a plumbed cold mains connection. We recommend the Cali 2 for sites where the volume justifies a dedicated coffee station but a 27-inch touchscreen would feel like over-engineering, and where having proper fresh-leaf tea on the menu is a meaningful win for the user mix. If you already run an original Cali, Crane's new door can be retrofitted to it.
