The Franke SB1200 is a different category to even the A-line. Franke positions it as a Speciality Beverage Station, and the architecture reflects that. A 12.1-inch touchscreen with realistic drink imagery drives the user experience; iQFlow handles per-cup extraction; FoamMaster delivers proper foam; and IndividualMilk physically separates two milk paths so vegan and dairy never share equipment from storage to cup.
Cold brew is the headline differentiator. The SB1200 produces cold brew with cream-on-top or cascade effect options, alongside iced coffees, espresso-based drinks, cappuccinos with full foam, and seasonal beverages. The Flavor Station accessory lets users add syrups and flavours within the dispense flow, which removes the need for a separate flavour pumping station and keeps the bar uncluttered.
CleanMaster is the fully-automatic cleaning system covering both the machine and the Flavor Station. For high-volume hospitality where staff time is genuinely the constraint, having cleaning automated end-to-end is a meaningful daily saving. The A800 is a high-capacity bean-to-cup machine. The SB1200 is a speciality beverage station, which is a different category. Cold brew capability, IndividualMilk dual-milk separation, larger 12.1-inch touchscreen with photo-realistic drink imagery, and the optional Flavor Station for in-dispense flavour customisation are all SB1200-specific. If your menu needs that breadth, the SB1200 is the answer. If you mostly need throughput on a conventional hot-drink menu, the A800 is.
Two completely separate milk paths from the storage chiller through to the dispense nozzle. Vegan plant milk runs in one path, dairy in another, with no shared components. This physically eliminates cross-contamination, which matters for sites with strict allergen protocols and for buyers who want to be confident their oat-milk latte hasn't picked up traces of dairy.
Cold brew (with cream-on-top or cascade visual effects), iced espresso-based drinks, iced lattes, cold-foam drinks. The cold capabilities are a genuine differentiator versus other automatic coffee machines that pretend to do cold but only really do iced versions of hot drinks.
Yes. The 12.1-inch touchscreen with realistic drink imagery is designed for self-service first-time use, with the menu structure understandable to a guest who hasn't seen the machine before. CleanMaster automated cleaning means staff don't need to be hovering. Cashless payment integration is standard.
Site survey to confirm space, plumbing, and power. Configuration agreed including which Flavor Station accessories you want and milk-system spec. Install with commissioning and staff training, typically 3 to 4 weeks from order. Ongoing service contract with planned maintenance, milk-line cleans, and remote monitoring.
A standard office of 50 to 100 staff is almost always better served by a more compact bean-to-cup. The SB1200 is genuinely the right answer when the menu needs cold brew, when vegan and dairy separation matters, when flavour customisation is a featured part of the offer, or when a 12.1-inch touchscreen and the speciality-bar aesthetic is part of what you are selling. We would push back if those don't apply.
